Practice Areas - Motorcycle Accidents
Motorcycle accidents can be devastating because the driver or passenger on a motorcycle has very little protection. The injuries sustained are generally much more severe and the fatality rates are much higher than automobile accidents. Over the past 19 years I have reperesented dozens of injured (and deceased) motorcycle riders and passengers.
Most people who ride motorcycles do not have adequate insurance. Because motorcycles are much more dangerous than automobiles, insurance companies charge much more for insurance, including UIM (underinsured motorist) and PIP (no-fault medical) coverage.
It is important for you, as a motorcycle rider, to be aware of your own insurance policy coverage. You should ensure that you have UIM coverage and PIP coverage, because severe injuries occur on motorcycles, and oftentimes the negligent party does not have enough insurance to cover even medical expenses.
