After working as a registered nurse for 25 years, I became quadriplegic  7 years ago. A few years later,while riding on a Metro bus, I was injured in my wheelchair due to the bus driver's negligence.  I had a difficult time finding an attorney- I was told it would be hard to prove that I was injured since I was already a quadriplegic. Dan Pope agreed to help me. The case was settled before going to court, and  I was very happy with my settlement.

About a year later, I was hit by a truck in a cross-walk in my wheelchair.  The insurance company hired a doctor who examined me, and said I was no worse off than before the accident in the crosswalk.  I was outraged, but Dan told me not to worry-this was the way insurance companies worked.

He  did everything he could to ensure that I would receive  compensation. He  worked very hard until about 2 weeks before trial, when we had a mediation. He obtained a settlement worth more than a million dollars. After losing my home in 2003 due to my quadriplegia, I was able to buy a house, and I am currently having it converted to accommodate my disabilities. For the first time in 7 years I can live in my own house.

Throughout my ordeal, I was depressed and scared about my future. Dan’s expert legal skills and his confidence helped alleviate my stress. In the end he kept all of his promises and obtained a settlement which exceeded my expectations.
